Issue 03 of Her Anthologie “Hello Kind Stanger(s)” is a careful exploration of the truth we sometimes forget. We live in imagined communities, with imagined borders and imagined rules — with very real consequences.
But far from a cry to wholly denounce Canadian constructs, this zine is a gentle and humorous reflection on what it means to be Canadian; offering a refreshing perspective of our home while highlighting that with great rights, come great responsibilities (and good coffee).
Issue 03 is somehow not only a loving nudge to better embody our ideals but is also a call for reconciliation, an ode to Tim Hortons, a plea to live well and a reminder that if we live in imagined communities — we can always imagine differently.
